Traveling with children, whether in a car or by plane, requires some careful planning. If you are traveling by plane give yourself extra time to check in your luggage and get everyone through the check points and security. If you have children that require strollers and car seats check the airlines guidelines to see what is permitted or arrange to have some provided when you reach your destination. If you are traveling by car, use car seats that meet guidelines and are appropriate for the age and weight of the child. In both cases, pack child friendly snacks and provide toys and books that will keep a child’s interest. Remember too that children need frequent breaks when traveling.
