Has your once sweet, loveable, little toddler turned into a demanding, stubborn, fit throwing child? It will take a lot of work and patience on your part, but there is hope. Assessing your child’s needs is the beginning. Ask yourself why your child is behaving the way they are. If they are acting out try to redirect them. Yelling or showing anger will only make the situation worse. Give them your attention as much as possible and lots of positive reinforcement. Hug them often and tell them you love them. It is important to remain calm while teaching obedience. If necessary give a time-out. Remember consistency is key to a positive outcome in your child’s behavior. Do these things and your child will not only survive, they will thrive.
