It’s getting to be that time of year! Time to think about Sun Safety! The trees are beginning to bloom and with it brings the wonderful signs of spring. This also means that Spring Break is just around the corner for your children.
As your children begin to spend more time in the sun do not forget to apply sunscreen to all areas of their skin that will be exposed to the sun. Look for sun screen that will protect from both ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) and has a SPF 15 or higher. It is best to choose water-resistant sunscreen and reapply it every two hours. There are also many great products that are available to protect from the sun’s rays like sun-protective clothing, wide brimmed hats, and sun glasses.
