Our Doctors

M. Adam Adcock, M.D.
Dr. Adcock is originally from the Jackson area. He completed his undergraduate education at Mississippi College. His medical school and Pediatric residency training were at UMMC in Jackson. He currently lives in Madison with his wife Megan and their five children (four boys and one girl). He joined the group in 2011.

Sam J. Denney, M.D.
Dr. Denney is originally from Houston, MS. He completed his undergraduate education at Ole Miss. His medical school and Pediatric residency training were both at UMMC in Jackson. He joined the group in 1984.

Danny Mullins, M.D.
Dr. Danny Mullins is a Mississippi native from Roxie, MS. He completed his undergraduate degree at Mississippi College. He completed medical school and his pediatric residency training at UMMC in Jackson. Dr. Mullins currently resides in Clinton with his wife and 2 sons. He joined the group in 2019.

Amanda H. Cook, M.D.
Dr. Cook is from Madison, MS. She completed her undergraduate education at Ole Miss. Her medical school and Pediatric residency training were both at UMMC in Jackson. She currently lives in Madison with her husband and two children. She joined the group in 2006.

Samuel A. Smith, M.D.
Dr. Smith completed his undergraduate education at MSU and did an extra year of graduate school in Virology. He completed medical school and Pediatric residency training at UMMC in Jackson. He currently lives in Brandon with his wife Jill and their two sons. He joined the group in 2003.

Laura A. Barron, M.D.
Dr. Barron is originally from Jackson, graduating from Jackson Prep. She completed her undergraduate education at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, receiving a degree in Biology. She worked in hypertension research at UMMC followed by a brief period of work and travel overseas. She returned to UMMC to complete her medical degree in residency in Pediatrics. She currently resides in Jackson. She joined the group in 2008.
